Digital Creation Portfolio

As a freelance producer, I’ve worn many hats and developed a broad skill set. Below are few of the music and video projects I’m most proud of.

Conjure Folk

I produced Conjure Folk, an imaginative concept album by Deanna Sorenson inspired by Ozark folklore.

Rooted in our shared regional heritage in the Ozarks, this project showcases a blend of traditional songwriting and modern production. I am particularly proud of the sound design in tracks like "Devil’s Daughter" and "Silent Supper," as well as my work re-imagining more traditionally styled songs like "Black Train" through a contemporary lens.

Silent Lover

This single was produced in Nashville with Anders Fleming for powerhouse artist and friend, Williams. I’m particularly proud of the way this one starts, with the swooping synth and the opening piano chord that gets bent like a rubber band. The bouncy acoustic guitars and beachy ambience of the second verse put a smile on my face every time.

Edelweiss

In collaboration with my partner Leslie, I produced this lush, cinematic reimagining of a Sound of Music classic. The bilingual arrangement begins with Leslie singing the English lyric, then transitions into a gorgeous German translation by Luise Stone. To achieve a traditional orchestral sound, I worked with Annaliese Kowert of the Nashville Symphony to bring my original string arrangements to life on violin and viola.

Anna Please

Produced alongside Korby Lenker for The Morse Code Podcast, this session features Nashville songwriter Andrew Combs performing his fantastic original, “Anna Please.” I handled the full production pipeline—capturing, mixing, and editing both audio and video. I’m particularly proud of the intimacy here; the warmth of the acoustics and the rich, cinematic aesthetic of the footage.

This session from The Morse Code Podcast features Jill Andrews performing 'Boundless Love,' a perfect love song to the natural world. I was responsible for the full audio and video production, aiming for a clean, intimate capture that allowed the sincerity of the performance to take center stage.

The Song Smashers

An animated podcast about making songs

During my time teaching music in Nashville, I developed The Song Smashers, a proof-of-concept for an animated educational series. The project explores songwriting and digital production through a lens that is both entertaining and instructional. This pilot features a session with my 10-year-old student, Percy, and utilizes a unique technical stack: Zoom’s native avatar engine integrated into a custom 3D environment built within OBS Studio.

At Last

In recent years, my primary focus has shifted toward a specialized setup: performing as a simultaneous 'bass and drum' rhythm section via my custom keyboard synth. This footage features me backing The Eimear Reavey Trio on the Etta James classic 'At Last.' Very few singers can do justice to Etta James, but Eimear pulls it off with flying colors.
